If you are an Italian Citizenship applicant and you are about to move to a different state which happens to be under the jurisdiction of a different Italian Consulate, here are some helpful tips on what to do with your Prenot@Mi account.

Login to your Prenot@Mi Account at https://prenotami.esteri.it/. Make sure the page is set for English "EN" (the default language is Italian).

Life would be boring if myths did not exist… For as long as we can remember the Ellis Island myth that family names were changed at Ellis Island, still persists among many people. The truth is they were not, since ship’s manifests were created at the port of departure, and inspectors at Ellis Island never wrote down any names. 

We are only a few days away from the 1950 Federal Census being released by the National Archives (NARA) on April 1, 2022, exactly 72 years after the recording started.  This is in accordance with the law that states that census records may only be released to the public 72 years after they are taken. 

If you determine that you qualify for Italian citizenship, odds are other family members, parents, siblings, aunts, cousins, qualify as well and wish they could apply with you. Is it possible and if so, how?

If you qualify for Italian Citizenship by right of blood and you reside here in the U.S., you will have to apply at one of the ten (10) Italian Consulates. Remember: you can only apply at the Italian Consulate that has jurisdiction over the state where you permanently reside.
