The Pianogrillo farm is located in the heart of the area of Iblei, a land
devoted to the cultivation of olives and production of oil since time
immemorial.
Generations of farmers have worked the land at Pianogrillo - by way
of testimony you can still find on the farm two tufa presses dating back
to the 3rd century. The main cultivar is the Tonda Iblea, alongside a
smaller quantity of the Moresca, Nocellara Messinese and Carolea
varieties, all organically cultivated. With its clear scent of olives
and its intense and aromatic flavor, this oil lends itself to dressing ?
neat ? steamed vegetables, soups, bruschetta and oven-baked fish.
