My name is Silvia Cavallero and I was born in Torino on June
9, 1971.
I am currently living between Manta, a small town (paese) in
the province of Cuneo and Torino, where I work and also attend
some courses for professional formation. My family is composed
by my father, my mother, and one sister, Chiara, three years
younger than me, who is a professional teacher.
I successfully graduated in Classic Letters and the reason I
chose this degree is because I am very fond of ancient cultures,
their history, arts and literatures. These studies have allowed
me to foster my passion for the past.
Having a teaching qualification, I am helping some high-school
students to improve in Italian, Latin, and Greek. In addition
I am a qualified archivist and have been reorganizing several
archives in the past. This experience linked to my passion for
the past, have created in me a strong interest for genealogy.
I have several hobbies: traveling as a way of discovering and
meeting different people (their lives, their cultures and their
artistic expressions), reading, watching movies and going to
the theatre. Part of my time is also dedicated to voluntary
work.
