a. A fee for preliminary research of US$ 50 will include:
1) Evaluation of your materials
2) Obtaining permission and checking availability of genealogical
sources related to your research
3) Birth certificate of your ancestor (to be included in the
final report)
b. Within 15 days, you will receive
a personalized quote with an approximate estimate of the
time and costs involved split in detail and as an average cost
per day.
c. Based on that, you will decide whether to start the research
or not. If you decide to start the research project, you
will have to pay 50% of the total amount forecasted. Upon this
authorization, the genealogist will start researching your Italian
Family.
d. The report of your research will be structured as an on-going
basis; you will receive the genealogist's findings as he builds
up your family tree and depending on your authorization he/she
will either continue to research or stop. Bear in mind that
for each mini-report you will be informed of the total
amount outstanding and based on your authorization to continue,
you will be asked to pay 50% of it.
e. The FINAL REPORT will include:
· Family chart (with the possibility
to receive it as a GEDCOM file or any other file format that
my Italian Family is making you available)
· Typed report detailing the steps taken in the research
process and full analysis of the findings
· Photocopies or photographs (in some places a photocopier
might not be available) of all the certificates. When
this is not possible, and it may happen, all the data will be
listed indicating the details of the sources
· Translation of all the certificates into English (Latin,
old Italian, dialects)
· Photographs, postcards, or illustrative material of the
place of origin with a detailed description of its history,
geography and culture
· Data entry of the new data, including source documentation
(into the software you will be able to choose) into a selection of the most common software programs.
Thanks to the invaluable contribution of well-known Italian
writers you will learn about
the Region of your grandparents bringing to light its colors,
customs, and mysteries. They have collected stories and memories
from their families and share them with you to add a unique
voice to your family tree. Memories are not used to remember the
lost time, but to start again, knowing that loosing our roots
inevitably leads to a loss in our identity as people who live,
think and love.
Additional services ( To apply, please indicate in your request):
A) Index of all the people found who are not necessarily
your direct ancestors
B) Photographs of the cemetery with the graves of your
family members or of the people carrying the same surname
C) Contact of potential relatives who still live in the
place of origin of your ancestors using the information collected
researching your family and that is in your possession. Therefore,
it is strongly recommended that you send us copies of old letters,
postcards, photographs, a diary or a book that might help our
genealogists to research your family and your living relatives.
List of the names, addresses, and telephone numbers will also
be provided.
D) There will also be an opportunity to have your family chart
manually designed for ornamental purposes according to various
formats
