My name is Giovanni Moroni and I live
in Calamonaci, a beautiful town in the province of Agrigento.
I am 45 years old and I have been working for almost 30
years in the management and organization of State and Church
Archives in Sicily. I have conducted several historical
researches in collaboration with the Bishop's office of
Agrigento and the Town Hall Archive of Calamonaci.
|
Genealogy is my passion and I have
been performing several researches in the parish archives
of the area that goes from Calamonaci, Villafranca Sicula,
Caltabellotta, Cattolica Eraclea, Santa Margherita di Belice,
and Favara. I have been collaborating in the past years
with Caterina Micalizzi, an expert archivist.
|
 |
From 1975 onwards, I have been conducting researches with
video and audio supports on the Sicilian culture, specializing
in its social history, its art, and its economy, but most
of all in the reconstruction of family trees of families
from the provinces of Palermo and Agrigento.
I have been writing several cultural publications, articles
and audio documents aimed at promoting and preserving our
Sicilian culture.
