The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage and culture of Americans of Italian descent, the nation's fifth largest ethnic group. The NIAF was founded in 1975 as a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. It is entirely non-partisan.

• Provides educational and scholarship opportunities, as well as programs and activities, to help our young people
   
• Promotes the history, heritage and accomplishments of Italian Americansa
   
• Serves as a liaison between the Italian American community and the U.S. Congress, the White House and government agencies, while also promoting the appointment of qualified Italian Americans in the government
   
• Protects the character and ensure a realistic portrayal of Italian Americans in the media and the arts
   
• Serves as a liaison between Italy and the United States by promoting cultural, educational, economic, and political cooperation
   
• Serves as a clearinghouse of information on Italy and on Americans of Italian descent
   

As a membership-based and -funded organization, NIAF relies on your involvement to continue to develop programs of the like well into the future. To become part of the NIAF and have full access to the NIAF.org Online Community, the fee varies between $25 and $2,500 a year depending on which level of support you choose.

2. $5 discount on the research of Italian birth/marriage/death records in conjunction with Italian Dual Citizenship applications for $40 (regular price $45).
    
3. 10% discount of total cost of translating U.S. documents to Italian. The total cost is assessed only by quote provided by My Italian Family before providing service to member.
    
4. 20% discount on the research of military or census records for $80 (regular price $100 minus a 20% discount).
