I have been trying to trace my Italian family for almost 30 years. It has been very frustrating. You write letters in a language you are not sure of, you mail them to addresses you are not certain of, and if you're lucky, they might write back. Often you find yourself waiting for months before you try to write another letter, in hopes that they still will respond. Now we have "My Italian Family" For a reasonable fee, they will get you your certificates, and will keep you posted as to how long it will take. So after 30 years I can finally start work on my grandmother's family tree, because My Italian Family has given me a great start.

I recently got involved with My Italian Family connection through the COI list, around June I asked them to find my Great-Grandmother's birth, it took two months, and $100.00 that charge $50.00 hour, but they after persisting got the records from Santa Margherita di Belice for me, which I had tried on my own to get, but to no avail. They did a great job, and I have now contracted for another search. Its not as much fun as finding out yourself, but it still as exciting when you get the news.
