I have been trying to trace my Italian family for almost 30 years. It has been very frustrating. You write letters in a language you are not sure of, you mail them to addresses you are not certain of, and if you're lucky, they might write back. Often you find yourself waiting for months before you try to write another letter, in hopes that they still will respond. So after 30 years I can finally start work on my grandmother's family tree, because My Italian Family has given me a great start.
